Straight Out of The Prompt ("SOTP", "the Service", "we") is a showcase site where people ("creators") publish content they made with AI tools ("submissions") for others ("visitors") to browse. SOTP does not build, host-run, or endorse any submission — it displays what a creator chose to publish.
You must be 13 years of age or older to create a pseudo-ID or submit content. By creating a pseudo-ID, you represent that you meet this requirement. SOTP does not verify age and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
SOTP does not use email addresses, passwords, or real names. An account is a self-chosen handle ("pseudo-ID") paired with a recovery secret shown to you exactly once at creation. You are solely responsible for saving your recovery secret. If you lose both your pseudo-ID and recovery secret, SOTP has no way to verify your identity or restore access — there is no email-based recovery, and none will be added. This is a deliberate trade-off in exchange for SOTP never storing your personal information.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SOTP, ITS OPERATOR, OR ANYONE ACTING ON ITS BEHALF BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, ANY SUBMISSION, OR ANY LINK OR FILE ACCESSED THROUGH THE SERVICE — REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE) AND EVEN IF SOTP HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. You acknowledge that downloading files, following external links, or running code obtained through the Service is inherently risky, and you do so entirely at your own risk. SOTP performs limited, automated, and/or manual review of submissions but cannot guarantee any submission is free of malware, security vulnerabilities, or other harmful content.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SOTP and its operator from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your submissions or use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third party's rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights. SOTP reserves the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with SOTP's defense, and you may not settle any such claim without SOTP's prior written consent.
If you believe a submission infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, send a notice to [CONTACT] including: (a) identification of the work you claim is infringed; (b) identification of the material you claim is infringing, and where it's located on SOTP; (c) a way to contact you; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and (e) a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner.
Canada uses a "notice-and-notice" system: SOTP is not legally required to remove content on receiving a copyright complaint, only to forward the notice to the creator and retain a record of it. As a matter of SOTP's own policy (not a legal requirement), SOTP will typically also review the flagged submission promptly under the Acceptable Use policy below and may remove or disable it if it appears to violate these Terms, independent of the copyright notice process. A creator who is the subject of repeated valid infringement notices will have their pseudo-ID suspended.
Note for counsel: this section was originally modeled on the U.S. DMCA notice-and-takedown process, which does not apply here — corrected to reflect Canada's notice-and-notice regime under the Copyright Act. Please confirm the record-retention period (six months, or one year if a court proceeding is commenced) and wording against the current Copyright Act requirements.
SOTP may suspend or remove any pseudo-ID or submission at any time, for any reason, including violations of these Terms or the Acceptable Use policy below, without prior notice.
SOTP may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and SOTP each attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, subject to your right to bring a claim in small-claims court.
Note for counsel: a mandatory-arbitration/class-action-waiver section was considered and deliberately removed — Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2023 voids such clauses in consumer agreements, and SOTP's users are consumers under that Act. Please confirm this remains correct before publishing.

This section covers what happens specifically when you submit content, in addition to the Terms of Service above.
You retain all ownership and intellectual property rights in anything you submit. SOTP claims no ownership over your content.
By submitting content, you grant SOTP a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your submission (and any preview images you upload) solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service (for example, showing it on the shelf, in search results, or in promotional material about SOTP). This license ends within a reasonable time after you remove the submission or it is removed under these Terms, except for copies already cached or shared as part of normal operation of the internet.
At submission, you choose how visitors may use your work: (a) contact me first — visitors must reach out via your contact link before reusing anything; (b) free to reuse with credit; (c) free to reuse without credit required; or (d) view only — no reuse permitted, viewing/discussion only. SOTP displays your choice on the submission but does not enforce or police it technically — it is a stated permission, not a technical restriction, similar to how Creative Commons licenses work.
You represent that: (a) you have the right to share the content you submit; (b) it does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, or other rights; (c) it contains no personal information about you or anyone else (see the Acceptable Use policy); and (d) it complies with the content rules below.
The contact link you provide is shown to (and reachable by) anyone who clicks your pseudo-ID. You are solely responsible for what that link reveals, including your identity if the link or the destination page shows your real name. SOTP stores the link as an opaque string and does not verify, scrape, or endorse its destination.
Submissions must not contain: obscene, degrading, or abusive content; nudity; content that violates civil rights or promotes discrimination; dangerous, violent, or hateful content (games that depict violence in a fictional context are permitted); or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property. Submissions must not contain personal data — yours or anyone else's — including but not limited to real names tied to identifying information, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, government ID numbers, or financial details.
Submissions must not contain malware, exploits, or other harmful code, and any link or file you provide must be one you control or trust. SOTP runs limited automated safety checks (for example, scanning links against threat-intelligence lists and, where file uploads are enabled, scanning uploaded files) — this is not a substitute for your own diligence as a visitor, and repeat or severe violations by a creator will result in removal and, where applicable, a report to the relevant hosting platform.
Every submission is created and published by its creator, not by SOTP. SOTP is not responsible for, and does not endorse, verify, or guarantee, the accuracy, legality, safety, or fitness of any submission, prompt, output, file, image, or linked content posted by a creator. You use, download, or rely on any submission entirely at your own risk. If you believe a submission violates these policies or infringes your rights, contact [CONTACT].
SOTP performs automated and limited human review of submitted content and links, but cannot guarantee they are free of malicious code or unsafe destinations. Downloading files, following links, or running code from this site is at your own risk.

SOTP is designed to never collect personal information from anyone, on purpose. There is no sign-up form asking for your name or email. There is no login with a password. The only "account" is a self-chosen pseudo-ID plus a one-time recovery secret that you — not SOTP — generate the meaning of.
Email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, government ID numbers, financial information, or IP addresses in the application database. (Rate-limiting uses a one-way cryptographic hash derived from a visitor's network address, kept only briefly and never in the primary database.)
SOTP is operated from Ontario, Canada. Canada's federal private-sector privacy law (PIPEDA) governs how organizations collect, use, and disclose personal information in the course of commercial activity. Because SOTP is deliberately designed not to collect personal information from visitors or creators in the first place, most of PIPEDA's obligations (consent for collection, access requests, correction requests) have little to apply to — there is generally nothing on file to request or correct beyond what's described above.
Note for counsel: please confirm whether SOTP, even at this scale, needs a designated privacy officer or a more formal PIPEDA compliance statement, and whether Ontario's own provincial rules add anything beyond PIPEDA for a service like this.
SOTP cannot control what you choose to paste into a prompt, an output, or a contact link. If you include personal information in content you submit or in your contact link, that information becomes visible to others through your own choice, not because SOTP collected it.
SOTP uses cookies only for the functions described above (staying signed in, anonymous rate voting) — not for advertising or third-party tracking.
